Islam: Religion of Peace or Violent Civilization?
Interesting discussion going on between two of our readers if you care to check it out and chime in:
My personal view is the seperation of violence (on most levels) is almost ir-removable from the belief system within Islam - since the Quran does teach these values. I have a Muslim friend who brings up the greatest difference between my faith and his is - he can resort to violence to defend his family - what he failed to mention to me is he has the right to also do this in regards to his religion - which we have seen in various countries (ex: Denmark) - and this is not a good thing as most of us can contest.
